Hello world, Lynette here, owner and founder of Pompous Reed. I want to welcome you to a brand dreamt up over a course of 2 years but inspired by a lifetime. Every single product you'll find on PompousReed.com is one of my favorite things. I, like many others, believe my personal style describes who I am in ways that words seem to fall short. Since I can remember, I've always had a love and appreciation for vintage style and technology. From asking my mom for a bobbysoxer costume at the age of 6, to dusting off my fathers old vinyl records in sheer awe as a teen, to starting my adored collection of vintage silk & lace nightgowns present day. Something about that time period has always held my attention captive. The grace, the glamour, the greatness of it all. The leading ladies in my favorite old movies always looked like royalty. The diamonds, the pearls...THE FUR!! A little over a year ago I wore a beautiful faux fur stole out one night and a few simple yet common issues repeated themselves throughout my evening. Holding on to my purse as well as my champagne colored stole in a cramped nightclub was trying. I didn't want to put either down out of sight or on a questionable surface. That is when it dawned on me. I told myself as soon as I got home I'd search for a fur stole with pockets for my belongings and perhaps a button to fasten it around my waist. Negative. Not one single fur stole featured pockets on the inside of the lining keeping the image of the stole unaltered. So I did what any other woman determined to have absolutely everything she wanted...I invented it. Fast forward to December 4th, 2020 I present to you The Trinity Stole and many other modern vintage pieces acquired to kick up that nostalgic comfort you desire, all available in one place.
